University of Northern Colorado (Elementary Ed)
I have a degree in Elementary Education from University of Northern Colorado. I have always loved teaching and I turned that love into a career! I have taught 4th and 5th grade and will be teaching 6th grade in the fall. My favorite subject is math, and I especially enjoy teaching fractions and decimals. I have written a couple short stories over the years and I enjoy writing as well.

I have taught elementary math (2nd - 5th) for over three years. I have students who no longer hate math after being successful in this area. Writing is a passion of mine and I enjoy inspiring my students to love writing as well! I have used a successful spelling program in my classroom for two years.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
