About Chris

If you need a teacher to support you in any way, I am here to meet your needs. I am an experienced teacher in the literacy arts, devoted to reading and writing instruction as the core to learning heritage. If you would like to discover writing talent, I can help you. If you desire to become a more critical, self-aware reader, I also can be of high value.

Furthermore, I display a strong dedication to teaching as a means to discovering life-long inspirations, so learning with me is more than just x's and o's - it's meant to teach you what you are good in, and love doing.

In math I am able to teach from a third grade to Pre-Calculus level, as well as developing online math learning tools to facilitate individualized instruction to suit your needs. As a social studies teacher, I have designed and implemented curriculum at the middle school and early middle school level for three years and have a great deal of experience in integrating technology into these lesson.

In summary, I am a proven teacher who makes lessons exciting, fun, timely, and current. And I hope to have the chance to work with you!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have taught at the elementary level for several years and have been an integral reading, writing, and math instructor. I am versed in modern teaching practices at this level and am effective at drawing on student-guided workshop techniques in order to achieve wide academic gains.

Social Studies

I have designed and taught a modern, integrative social studies curriculum at a top-flight private institution in Florida. In this setting, I led a student-centric approach to learning about United States and World history through integrative reading, writing, and technological-based learning.
