About Aislinn

To change the world, we must change one mind at a time. To influence change, learning must be blossomed into understanding, and understanding must blossom into new ideas. Each of us contains genius, and it is a blessing to be a part of students finding their genius and soaring high in the world of academia and the world of life. We live to learn, we learn to live. Disce vivere vivere discimus!
Every student is unique and special. Sometimes to learn and find the genius, it takes out of the box thinking. As a person who was homeschooled, I learned so many out-of-the-box methods. As I have tutored different students for the last 11 years, we have created new ways of thinking, modified old ways of thinking, and found success in our studies.
I have tutored elementary, middle, and high school kids since 2005.
I have tutored college level academia since 2012.
I currently am studying Biochemistry and Biochemical Engineering at CSU, with an intention to gain STEM teacher licensure.
I specialize tutoring in the math and sciences, but a well-rounded education is not complete with out a strong grasp of writing, language, literature, and art.
I also am passionate about music and dance, and have been teaching/tutoring those subjects since 2005.
I am here to help open the doors to changing the world!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ADD/ADHD

I have been working with ADD/ADHD Children since 2005. I have taken educational classes on how to teach ADD/ADHD children. I have an understanding of the root of the ADD/ADHD and how certain systems can help them learn. I have experience working with creating educational systems, modifying work to be feasible for ADD/ADHD people. I have an understanding that each ADD/ADHD case is unique, and thus out of the box thinking is required for each case. My teacher certification is in progress.

Algebra 1

I have been tutoring Algebra since 2005. The students I have tutored have gone onto successful STEM academic experiences. I have taken classes on mathematical teaching methods and I am currently pursuing a STEM/teaching degree. I have a passion for helping other students succeed and I have personal Mathematical success, including high test scores, awards, and promotions through school because of the skill involved.

Ballet

I have been taking ballet for the last 19 years. I have trained under many different styles and instructors, and I also was privileged to be on a competitive dance team. Since then, I have been teaching ballet since 2006. I have taught classes for beginning ballet, intermediate ballet, expert ballet, pointe work, ballet conditioning and adult classes (which have a mix of Ballet, Yoga, and Pilates).
I have taken seminars on teaching methods, of choreography, of costume design, of performance and presentation.

Chemistry

Top Grades (A and A+) in High School Chemistry and Advance Placement Chemistry
Excellent Grades in College General Chemistry I and II, including lab sections.
Excellent Grades in Organic Chemistry.

I have been tutoring chemistry-related subjects since 2005, and have helped students achieve outstanding understanding and passion for the material.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have been teaching and tutoring elementary grades (K-6) since 2004. I have done work in groups of children, as well as one on one session, in all of the subjects they study. I have taken elementary education classes as a part of my pursuit of a teacher's licensure, and I take new classes to stay up to date. One of the first students that I tutored back in 2004 graduated from high school with high honors in 2016.

General Music

I have been involved in various areas of music since 1996. I have learned 17 different instruments. I teach piano lessons, strings lessons, saxophone lessons, bass lessons, voice lessons, as well as drumming lessons. I have been writing and arranging my own work since 2009 and teaching others to do the same since that time. I also have been teaching music history since 2013. I also work as a director and conductor for ensembles and can tutor the needs required to be a director and conductor. I have taken music history education classes, music theory education classes, music composition education classes, and instrument methods education classes, and I am pursuing a teacher's licensure.

Piano

I took piano lessons for 10 years, and have now been teaching privately for 4 years. I am a music education major in college, and have experience working with different types of learning styles as well as different materials.

Speech

I have taken classes in learning the proper methods of speaking, as well as having taken part in speech and debate teams. I have taken classes in university for speech and debate, public speaking, and interpersonal communications. I have also taken classes working with speech therapy and speech involvement in special education. I have been working with students in these areas for ten years.

Theatre

I have been working and teaching acting and other theatre techniques since 2006. I have performed in lead roles in musicals and regular theatre, directed works, choreographed, supervised makeup and costuming, performed and conducted in the pit orchestra, and participated in every aspect of the theatre. I have supervised and taught other directors, actors, and crew members in productions such as "The Pirates of Penzance," "Twelve Angry Jurors," "Camelot," "Our Miss Brooks," Agatha Christie plays, and smaller works by local authors. Some of my students have gone on to starring roles in college plays, written published works, and orchestrated musicals for their schools and communities.

Track & Field

I have been coaching and working with track and field athletes since 2008. I was a champion competitor in running events, jumping events, and throwing events. Since then, I have worked with other athletes, designing training programs, competition plans, and therapy for injuries. I have taken training classes, as well as apprenticed to other coaches and events.

I have been teaching violin lessons since 2010 and have taken violin-teaching methods classes as well as served as a tutor, teacher, and guest conductor for orchestras in Northern Colorado.
