I have always loved chemistry since I was blowing stuff up in high school, to the environmental testing career I've had for the last 17 years. I graduated from CU with honors and Phi Beta Kappa with a 3.8 GPA. I'm interested in helping others with an interest in chemistry, but please be serious. I'm not going to do your homework for you, because you won't learn anything. I want to show you how to understand this fascinating and fundamental science for yourself.

Brendon is a very good teacher. He lets you know the situation is all about you and what you need. He is willing to tell you in as many different ways as needed for you to understand a concept. He is also a very nice person, patient and honest. I would recommend him to anyone.
This is the first tutor I've ever had and the first impression was great. He was able to explain the material to me in a way I could understand and hold on to for future exams. Ochem is not an easy subject but he makes it a lot easier!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a biochemistry graduate and had to take extensive organic classes and labs. I have worked as an organic chemist for the last 14 years since graduation. Organic is unique in the sense that there are fewer "mathematical" answers and it is more of a cumulative understanding of molecular interactions and functional groups. While I received good grades in college, it took years later to "get it," that's why I think I can be an efficient tutor.
