I loved Math and science; and I decided to major in both fields. I did graduate with a BS degree, majoring in Math, and minor in physics and chemistry.
I spent my first year teaching math in District 18, CO. Then I decided to study Engineering and joined University of Wyoming and graduated as a civil Engineer. I am certified as a teacher and as professional Engineer in the state of CO.
As professional Engineer, I worked for the states of Colorado, Wyoming, and Michigan in road and bridge design, then I accepted a Job with Boeing as structural analyst, and worked on the SST (in the beginning stages) then after scrapping the project I was assigned to help in the design of the wings of the 747 airplane. Such challenging jobs does require good knowledge in all fields, including math. I enjoyed my work all along, and when the project completed, Boeing laid off all the working force. This forced me to work for myself and decided to join forces with my brothers and worked to build and strengthen the Alami corporation for long successful 20 years. After retiring I worked as an Arabic translator for Language Select, and as a sub for Cherry Creek schools.
