Bio

I have an extensive tutoring/teaching background with 10+ years of experience mostly focused on high school and college students. I love interacting with students 1-on-1 but also in group and larger classroom settings. I approach tutoring with kindness and patience to build students' confidence and motivate them to learn and tackle challenging content. I feel very confident in my approach to solving problems and helping students get a deeper understanding.

I approach tutoring with kindness and patience to build students' confidence and motivate them to learn and tackle challenging content. I feel very confident in my approach to solving problems and helping students get a deeper understanding.

My individual tutoring experience started in high school focused on math and physics. Working with students to overcome challenges understanding and approaching intimidating and difficult subjects like like algebra, calculus, and physics. I studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Delaware (Go Blue Hens!) where I tutored underrepresented groups in engineering in one-on-one tutoring sessions including math, electrical engineering, and computer science. In college, I also started to work with small groups of students reviewing problem sets and running discussion sections and as a teaching assistant.

After college, I had the opportunity to work internationally at the Shandong University of Science and Technology in China as a teaching assistant for an introductory circuits course. Recently, I started teaching as an adjunct professor in computer science at Front Range Community College.

I look forward to helping students tackle challenging courses and gain confidence!

Computer

Computer Science,

Computer Science

I have a Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I worked for three years in industry focused on algorithm development and modeling and simulation using Python and Matlab. I worked in research at the University of Michigan Department of Computer Science and Engineering using Python to develop machine learning algorithms. Recently, I started as an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at Front Range Community College.
MATLAB,

MATLAB

I worked for three years at a contractor focused on modeling and simulation of systems in MATLAB. I have used MATLAB for everything from small scripts to large scale object oriented simulations. I have experience with MATLAB toolboxes such as parallel computing and image processing. I feel very confident in my ability to tutor early MATLAB users.
