Hello. I have been teaching elementary special education for the last 7 years in public schools. I have taught students with mild, moderate, and severe needs. I work with students in reading, writing and math, and provide tailored individual lessons for all of my students to help them succeed.

Nothing is more exciting for me than watching a child acquire a skill that they could not do previously. This constantly brings me joy and allows me to connect with my students who feel pride in doing things that they previously found challenging. My teaching philosophy is that every child is capable of succeeding, and needs someone in their corner to make sure that happens. I look forward to being that someone for your child.

I am a certified non-probationary teacher in Cherry Creek Public Schools for grade K-8 in elementary and special education.

All of my students make progress both on their IEP goals and in their general education classroom. I am able to break down reading into it's foundational components to help plug in gaps. I believe that the best way to become a better reader is to read, and so I provide a step by step approach to reading more challenging texts.

I have taught students with mild, moderate and severe needs for the last 7 years. This includes students with ADHD, specific learning disabilities, Autism, Downs Syndrome, etc.

Reading goes hand in hand with spelling, and so I often teach the two at the same time, while focusing on specific spelling patterns, starting with letter names and sounds, working up to "r" controlled vowels and everything in between.

I am a passionate teacher who loves to help kids learn.
