I am a Social Psychologist PhD graduate. I have been teaching in some capacity for the past 15 years. I started a tutoring program for an underperforming elementary school during my senior year of high school. In college, I worked at the Boys and Girls Club of Columbia, MO. In graduate school, I worked as a teaching assistant or a tutor, depending on the semester.

My background is in interdisciplinary social science research. That means I have studied a broad range of topics ranging from psychology to biology to neuroscience to math and statistics. In graduate school, I also taught these subjects as a teaching assistant. I love engaging with students and helping them develop the tools to master the material.

I have experience tutoring college and elementary school students, but my most recent experience is with college students. I have the most experience teaching statistics, specifically statistics courses for non-math majors like psychology, neuroscience, and biology. Additionally, I’m confident in teaching almost any psychology class, including Intro to Psychology, Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Research Methods/ Design, and other, more specialized courses. I can also teach some neuroscience courses including Intro to Neuroscience, Social Neuroscience, Affective Neuroscience, and Cognitive Neuroscience.

Math and statistics can be intimidating, but it is a topic that I've loved my whole life. I want to help others learn. I can help you understand stats or psychology or even neuroscience. Can I help you? Let's get in contact, and I'll take a peek at your syllabus. I'm located near Cap Hill and happy to travel up to CU or down to DU. Let's get started!

Helpful and Knowledgeable

Geoffrey helped me a lot with research methods and deciding what parametric and nonparametric tests to consider and/or run for analyzing my data for a research project I ran. My study is very complex and I could tell he was very thoughtful and knew what he was talking about.
