Hi there! I'm Raye, a full-time tutor experienced in literacy education and academic guidance for K-adult. Hi there! I'm Raye, a full-time tutor experienced in literacy education and academic guidance for K-adult. I have worked as tutor for the dyslexic for the past five years, both privately and as an employee for the Wisconsin Institute for Learning Disabilities/Dyslexia. I am certified in the CLASS system, an Orton-Gillingham-based literacy education method, and can provide remedial English language instruction for all ages. I excel at working with ESL students, non-traditional/adult students, and students with dyslexia/learning disabilities. I have an enormous passion for reading and writing, which I try to inspire in all my tutees. I believe that my biggest strengths as a tutor are my empathy and versatility.

To achieve certification I was required to complete a 40-hour academic course with a 100-hour practicum via the University of Wisconsin. I currently spend the majority of my tutoring hours with my students at WILDD, who range from 3rd graders to retirees.
