Currently I teach literacy at an elementary school in Denver and in the past I have taught elementary math and middle school study skills. I absolutely love working with children and helping them achieve their full potential, as well as building their confidence at school.
I particularly enjoy tutoring small groups of students or individually so I can really get to know that child/children and thus help them more effectively.
Last year I worked as Denver Math Fellow at an elementary school in Denver. During the year I helping students from 2nd grade through 5th grade. Not only did I enjoy watching the students grow academically, but also socially.
Currently I work as Literacy Fellow and my Bachelor's degree is in English. I would also consider myself quite the spelling whiz and I am an avid reader.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
