About Graham

I graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy. I served four years as a Medical Service Corps Officer in the U.S. Army - deploying to Afghanistan, spending years teaching, coaching, and mentoring Soldiers, and developing my own communication, discipline, and time-management skills. I am now a student at the University of Colorado School of Medicine MD Program.

I have completed coursework in biology, biochemistry, inorganic and organic chemistry, physics, anatomy and physiology, and many other disciplines. I earned top marks on nearly a dozen AP courses in high school, tested in the top of the 99th percentile on the SAT, and scored in the 95th percentile on the biology section of the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT).

My goal with tutoring is not only ensuring that the student is mastering content, but also that they are exploring an effective problem solving approach that enables them to not just memorize, but rather genuinely learn material.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Anthropology

I was a Biological Anthropology and Anatomy major at Duke University. In that course of study, I completed 11 evolutionary anthropology courses, complimented by three cultural anthropology courses.

Nutrition

I learned the science of nutrition in my undergraduate biology studies at Duke University, and I am now immersed in human metabolism during my course of study as a medical student. Moreover, nutrition is a personal interest of mine, as I love to exercise and spend time outdoors.
