Mechanical Engineering

I am a PhD student in the Mechanical Engineering department at the Georgia Institute of Technology, I work on heat transfer applications for thermal management and characterization of electronics. I recently completed my MSME and in that role I conducted novel Thermal Engineering research and published multiple journal papers in the Applied Physics Letters and the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer. In addition, I have been providing educational services in some form for nearly a decade (primarily in the mathematics and sciences). My knowledge and background makes me best suited to assist with lower division Mechanical Engineering courses such as: statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, as well as upper division courses such as: fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. My primary expertise is in the Thermal Sciences. I have passed the rigorous heat transfer and thermodynamics qualifying exams at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Demonstrating my expertise in these subjects. Furthermore, I would also enjoy helping any students who are trying to navigate getting into a Mechanical Engineering PhD program.

Knowledge is Priceless

Brian is very knowledgeable, personable, and professional. He provided a clear explanation of the concepts. He suggested that I upload the material in advance; therefore, he always came to the sessions well prepared. He also made sure I understood the material. His knowledge is priceless. I would recommend him and use him again. You will not be disappointed. He truly has a passion for engineering and enjoys what he does. He kept me motivated and hopeful as I tackled through a challenging course.

Applied Thermodynamics

Brian has really helped me understand Applied Thermodynamics. We started from the initial concepts and worked our way up to me getting a 93 on my last quiz. I will owe my grade to him. Thanks Brian!

Thermodynamics genius!

Brian is a great and knowledgeable tutor! He is worth every penny! I learned so much in his tutoring session and dare I say, he was better than my professor at explaining a lot of the complex thermodynamics concepts.

Marcy, thank you so much for this very thoughtful review!

Knowledgeable tutor

Brian has been tutoring my son for several months in AP Calc. Brian is knowledgeable, consistent, always on time, and a math expert! I would highly recommend him for any student that needs help in math and especially for those in the higher and advanced math courses!

Extremely happy with Brian

Brian has been helping my son with his calculus. Brian seems extremely knowledgeable in the subject area and is able to explain his processes to my son. He has also helped evaluate some of the missing components to my sons skill set. Brian has also been helping me with some lacking math skills as I am an adult learner continuing my education for my employment. I look forward to having Brian assist my daughter as well in the area of math, as she will most likely need some assistance in that area as well. overall our family has been extremely happy with Brian and the job he is doing.
