My name is Kittery and I have been in education for the last 12 years. I started my teaching career in a small town outside of Boston, MA. I quickly grew to love mathematics and would love to help you to embrace and enjoy it as well. I have taught everything from Pre-Algebra all the way to AP AB Calculus. I enjoy all of theose subjects and am comfortable teaching/tutoring all of them. I have taught in both Massachusetts as well as in Denver. I have tutored students and helped them to be successful in their math classes. I love helping students to embrace mathematics and make the learning their own. I have tutored both in home as well as at coffee shops, libraries, and at schools. I am also an avid rugby player as well as a violinist.
I currently write curriculum for a school district near Denver and am enjoying helping impact students on a larger scale. I am very passionate about helping students to learn and grow. I love helping students that are struggling to turn that struggle into productive struggle. It is this productive struggle that helps students to be able to successfully make the knowledge their own. I look forward to helping more students on their journey through mathematics.
I am looking forward to hearing form you and helping you on your mathematical journey. Let me know how I can help you be a successful mathematician.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
