About Saheel

I thoroughly enjoy the satisfaction that comes from helping a student learn. I have taken a wide variety of biology and chemistry courses throughout my undergraduate and graduate schooling. I graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and also have a PhD in chemistry. I have a strong background in General, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Biochemistry.

I have been tutoring math and science for the last 4 years and have had many positive results. I am a patient tutor and will help the student with the subject matter to the best of my ability. I am always prepared before the tutoring session begins to ensure that the student gets the best out of the meeting. I always hold myself to a high standard and want the student to truly understand the material at hand. I encourage feedback as it will help both parties in achieving higher quality sessions.

I am open to traveling to another location that is convenient for the student. I also will be happy to have a free meeting before accepting me as your tutor.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping you progress in your studies!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I have many years experience with algebra. I really enjoy teaching math. I love to show my students multiple example problems of each problem type until they understand how to work the problem on their own. I am patient and having different teaching styles depending on the student.

Chemistry

I have tutored many students in general chemistry 1 and 2 throughout the past five years. Throughout grad school I periodically taught chemistry classes. I am patient with my students and work many practice problems of the same problem type.

Football

I first held a football in my hands when I was 3 years old. Since then I have watched football religiously. I watch high school, college and pro football.
I have played football since I was in 6th grade. I played tight end and receiver up until 8th grade. In high school I switched to quarterback. I played intramural football in college and to this day play random pick up games. I have a great depth ok knowledge of football and would love to share my information on the sport with others.

Organic Chemistry

I have completed undergraduate organic chemistry courses. I have also taken advanced organic chemistry in graduate school. In addition I have taught Biorganic chemistry for 2 years. After helping students succeed in class and also tutoring them in organic chemistry, I believe I am qualified to tutor organic chemistry.
