Hi, my name is Jon and I am a Math Teacher and experienced tutor. I have an extensive education background. I have taught Pre-Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, AP Calculus AB, College Algebra, Discrete Math, 7th Grade Math, 8th Grade Math, Pre-Calc and Algebra 1.

Breaking through to help our 10th grader

Our daughter is in Math IV at Legacy High. She does well in all her other classes, but Math IV has been tough. It's pre-calculus, trig, geometry, etc. She is finally getting a handle on it thanks to Jon. He helps her put things in context and teaches her how to approach the problems. Great find and great guy!

Jon is very thoughtful. He is able to help my son understand and focus on exactly where the holes in his understanding are. Jon uses multiple strategies for ensuring those concepts are solidified. Jon was amazing from the first tutoring session. Each session has been amazing for my daughter as she has struggled in math for some time. Jon is helping her in both review and mastery of previously taught concepts and in grasping new concepts. He is an extremely patient tutor! If my daughter doesn't understand a concept, Jon makes sure she understands it completely before moving on! My daughter really enjoys working with Jon!
