University of Denver (Mathematics, Chemistry, History)
Hey! I grew up in the Bay Area and graduated from College Park High School in 2012. I am in my senior year at the University of Denver, working on degrees in Mathematics, Chemistry, and History. I love to run, play tennis and swim.
I have years of experience tutoring algebra and calculus, and I would love to help you out with any math-related subject. I am very patient, and I totally understand that this material is hard. I have a very calm and laid-back personality. Honestly, I struggled with math for so long that I get how frustrating it can be.
I am available to help with homework, test prep, or just general math knowledge. My hours are very flexible, and I am happy to meet anywhere you choose. I am also available to call for help and advice.
I can’t wait to work with you!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I first took Algebra 2 in 10th grade. Algebra is the foundation for all other math, and I continued to discover more about it all the way into college. This is a subject in which practice really does make perfect.
I am a 4th Year History major at the University of Denver. I have taken many classes on World and American history, from AP in high school to college courses. I find history fascinating and look forward to helping students learn about this subject.
I took calculus my senior of high school, and took a year of it in college. I had a ton of trouble with this at first and so I completely get how frustrating it can be. I absolutely respect calculus students and genuinely want them to succeed.
I am a former Cognitive Neuroscience major at the University of Denver. I have taken a number of classes in Psychology and conducted research in the field, examining a newly discovered neural pathway called ensemble coding. Psychology can be an extremely interesting and valuable subject, and I would love to help students that are getting introduced to it.
I am a History major at the University of Denver with a focus on the Middle East. I have taken many classes in History and conducted research abroad (examining WWII internment camps in New Zealand). World History is a subject I am very interested in, and would love to help out students working through this material.
