Marisa has surpassed all my expectations. She really goes the extra mile to help you with whatever you are looking for. In my personal experience with her, she customized our class according to exactly what I needed and wanted to learn. In addition, she is a really nice person, flexible, easy to understand and enjoyable to spend time with.
Marisa is my first teacher in Colorado. After her lessons, now I feel comfortable in speaking English. She taught me how to speak, write, and smile! Thank you!
Marisa really helped me to improve my score on the GRE essay. She was very knowledgeable on the essay types, well prepared and patient. I would highly recommend Marisa to anyone!
Marisa is a great tutor! She was very friendly and nice. My 6 year old son felt really comfortable around her...probably because she was smiling the whole time. Great tutor!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I've taught classes to 2nd through 8th graders in a school setting.
My undergraduate and graduate studies have equipped me with the study skills to successfully tutor others in this area. I have always been an exceptional student, and my grade point averages reflect this. My Bachelor of Arts in international studies prepared me to think, analyze and be open-minded; my Master of Science in journalism taught me to research, investigate and create.
