Hello! My name is Michelle S., and I have been a teacher for over ten years! I graduated from Syracuse University in 2007 with a triple major in Inclusive Elementary and Special Education as well as Spanish. I began immediately working as a third grade teacher. While teaching, I received my Masters in the Art of Teaching with a specialization in Literacy. After four years of teaching third grade, I taught fourth grade. After having my own two children, I showed a special interest in early childhood education. I had the opportunity to be a lead teacher in a kindergarten classroom. During this time, I trained with Orton Gillingham and implemented it successfully into my classroom. I love all the grades including the growth and different curiosities that each student has.

I believe that every single student can succeed. I have strived during my career to help each child reach his or her full potential. I have the understanding that every child learns in a different way and a different pace. In addition to teaching full time, I have also tutored students ranging from Kindergarten through eighth grade in all subject areas. We moved from New Jersey to beautiful Denver about a year ago due to a job change for my husband. Now that we are settled and my own children are in school full time, I would love the opportunity to work with your child to help him or her succeed while continuing my love and passion for education! I am supportive, outgoing, and I love to make learning fun!

If you would like more information about my qualifications or would like to know how I can help your child, please do not hesitate to contact me! Thank you for your time!
