I am a 28 year old college graduate and I love to help others learn. I graduated college with a BA in Applied Geography. This particular degree requires advanced knowledge in all aspects of geography including human geography, cartography, geographic information systems (GIS), and geographic analysis. I have worked for the past five years as a GIS Specialist for multiple energy companies around the Denver area. In addition to geography I am able to tutor those in elementary school as I have assisted my own step-daughter learn how to properly study and increase her grades in all subjects throughout elementary school. This means I sit down and tutor her every night on every subject so I am very familiar with and able to assist in all subjects taught in elementary school. Also, I volunteer at her school as a tutor for all grades and focus on students struggling with their studies, especially math, English, and social studies. As I said, I love to help others learn and accomplish great things. Every child and situation is different. I pride myself on being able to discern and figure out what works best for them. I hope that you or your student will contact me and we can begin not just setting new goals but accomplishing and surpassing them. I am a 28 year old college graduate and I love to help others learn. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
