I consider myself a highly qualified Math teacher as I am holding a master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Denver. Moreover, I have a bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Education. Currently, I teach mathematics at the Community College of Denver, and Red Rocks Community College. I worked as Denver math fellow for the school year of 2016-2017, as a middle school teacher from 2005-2006, and as a TA at the University of Misurata-Libya for 3 years. I tutored Mathematics for high school students at College Track and all my students love the way I simplify math and make it more fun. I believe math should be enjoyable subject not a source of fear for the students. Making math flexible for the kids gives the feel of how easy it is to solve a problem,by flexible I mean to find more than one way to think of the problem. Thinking loudly when solving a problem in from of my students is one of the tricks to give them an idea of how they should think of its solution, instead offering them to memorize some steps and following them, I always give my students the chance to make their own algorithm, or map to solve. Letting a student answer a question wrong is also a way to teach him/her not to answer it wrong again in more important setting like exams, and quizzes.

I love tutoring one-on-one because it gives me a chance to understand the student and analyze his/her needs exactly.
I am also a native speaker of Arabic with advanced English speaking skills, which makes me the perfect fit for your Arabic needs.

Arabic

I am a native speaker of the Arabic. I am also well qualified to teach the Arabic language, because of my background as a teacher. My extensive knowledge of different dialects and the official Arabic language grammar and rules is what my students notice from the first lesson. I recently tutored two students in Arabic, and both students were satisfied with my performance as a tutor and a teacher.

I come from the Mediterranean region where food tastes heavenly and is cooked with passion. Libyan food is an interesting combination of North African food with an Italian touch. I can teach you how to cook traditional authentic couscous, steamed rice with herbs, stuffed squash, (Dolma) stuffed greens, steamed rice with stew, French bread, Kebsa (rice with lamb stew), Mbatten (potato slices stuffed with ground beef), Maqroodh (sweet semolina cookies stuffed with dates), basbosa (semolina cake), and so much more.

Asma is Amazing!!

My first lesson with Asma was great!! I appreciate how detail oriented she is too! Learning a new language can be very intimidating but she made me feel so comfortable! I look forward to our next lesson soon!!

Incredibly helpful and supportive.

I am starting at the very beginning, and Asma has been incredible. She is working with me on the alphabet, and after only two lessons, I am feeling comfortable reading words. She brings material and assigns me homework, and has a very clear way of explaining and helping me to remember what we talk about during class. Thanks, Asma!

Patient and adaptable.

Asma was a terrific tutor. I let her know in advance that my son needed to build his confidence as well as his skills. She achieved both of these things. We didn't have very long to try to turn things around before the end of the year and Asma was ready to take on the challenge. My son says "I want to note her patience for my lack of knowledge and her ability to adapt."

Very Professional Tutor, Extremely Flexible

I worked with Asma in 1000 level Arabic class and she was wonderful. I went from failing all my tests to getting B's and C's. She has not only helped me do my homework and review for the tests, but showed me differences between dialects, patterns within the language to help myself understand and respond better, and lastly areas where I seriously needed improvement. Asma was an absolutely superb Arabic tutor and I'd highly recommend her to anyone seeking help within the language.
