I am a laid back but driven college graduate with aspirations to attend optometry school starting August of 2012. I thoroughly enjoy learning and teaching, and feel that my experiences have greatly broadened me. I am studying everything from Chemistry and Biology to Reading Comprehension as I will be taking my entrance exam at the end of the summer. I see that we stress about subjects we do not like, myself included, but by embracing the subject and trying to understand it in different terms, learning can be both entertaining and enjoyable.

Baseball

To say that I am knowledgeable in the area of baseball is a gross understatement. I have played, studied, coached, and read about every aspect of baseball for the last 18 years. I am very proficient in the strategy of the game, from basics such as batting stance and throwing as to keep a healthy arm, to pitch selection as a pitcher and how to have a balanced approach to batting. I played second base and short stop through high school. I understand the defensive side of the game as well. Approaching a ground ball to turning double plays, there are strategies to make all efficient and effective. My favorite team is the St. Louis Cardinals. I personally own over five thousand baseball cards. I am a huge fan of the game, whether I am in the stands or on the field. I believe my energy and excitement towards the game affects those around me, an important thing when coaching a team, regardless of the level of play.
