Working one-on-one is the best way to be successful. As a public school teacher, I'm not always able to give my students the individual attention they may need. In private tutoring we start with what the student already knows and then work from there. I can easily customize lessons to any student and can help each student assess exactly what they are struggling with.
Mathematics and logic is a passion of mine. While most of my teaching experience centers around middle school math and Algebra 1, I also enjoy upper college level math classes. I am confident in tutoring for Algebra 2, Statistics, Calculus, Geometry, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, and more.
I've been teaching since 2008 beginning in the Salt Lake Area. Before coming to Montezuma County I was in Blanding, Utah teaching at ARL Middle School. In 2014 I began teaching Algebra 1 at Montezuma-Cortez High School.
My Masters of Mathematics Education, (5-12) allows me to teach any middle school and high school math classes as a highly qualified teacher anywhere in the USA. The degree included many college level math classes that I enjoyed and would enjoy helping you complete.
Living in the four corners region can present educational challenges. There are not a lot of options to choose from! To get my Master's Degree in Mathematics, I completed the entire thing online. This was extremely difficult because it was hard to get help and it wasn't very personal. If you are struggling with an online degree, don't despair! Online classes are a lot harder than the commercials make it out to be! Talk to me before you give up! Working one-on-one is the best way to be successful. I learned a lot of valuable information from Tiffany in one hour than I did from studying on my own. The math methods and problem solving techniques make more sense.
I definitely look forward to learning more from the tutoring sessions.
My son has never been so confident!! He is excited about math... And that's never happened before!! Thank you Tiffanie!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
