While I'm new to tutoring mathematics, I'm not new to teaching. I just did it in the military, and we called it training. I know the value of a tutor because I relied on them early in my college career, and initially struggled relearning some basic math concepts that I had forgotten over the years. While I'm new to tutoring mathematics, I'm not new to teaching. I just did it in the military, and we called it training. I know the value of a tutor because I relied on them early in my college career, and initially struggled relearning some basic math concepts that I had forgotten over the years. Math is hard, I know, and i have been in the position of leaving lecture with unanswered questions, recently as a matter of fact. However, I honestly believe that if I can get through it, anyone can, with a little tailored help.

Completed coursework towards a minor in Mathematics from UC Denver. Curriculum consisted of College Algebra, Trigonometry, PreCalculus, Calculus I, II, III, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Abstract Math, and Statistical Theory.

I do have a degree in economics, however am not interested in tutoring it at this time.

I chose to load up on additional STEM courses in college because I understand the importance of having a strong background in quantitative reasoning. That, and I wanted a challenge, and to gain back some of that sharpness I had lost after years of not being in school. Math is like exercise for you brain, and the basic skills must be learned before one can progress, and use math in an applicable future setting. Sometimes though, if you can get far enough, there are some cool things about math. As a tutor, I would like to make my style clear; I'm not going to lecture you from a lesson plan, or do your homework. What I will do, though, is help you understand your classes better by clarifying recent concepts that might be unclear, assist the student in working additional problems, provide study techniques, and be a general source of information to assist you with your math struggles.
