About Brianne

Hello! My name is Brianne and I am excited to help you with your educational goals. I am a graduate of Texas Christian University where I received two degrees: BS: Physics and Astronomy and BA: Mathematics. I just moved to Colorado Springs and just became a new mother!

Before living in Colorado Springs I was a High School Math and Science Teacher. I taught an integrated geometry, algebra, and statistics course, Physics Honors, Astronomy Honors, Physical Science, and Earth and Environmental Science. I absolutely love learning and education. Though I enjoyed teaching, tutoring is my passion. I love working one-on-one with people and sharing my knowledge.

I LOVE math. I love the objectivity of it. There is a right answer and a wrong answer and that is that. I especially love tutoring math, mostly because I love doing math and I really enjoy helping others see the fun there is in the subject. I understand that most people say they "hate"math. It is one of my small goals in life to get more people to see that math is not all that bad!

I am highly experienced and extremely knowledgeable about most all subjects. I made a 3.9 GPA in my college math degree. I am confident in my skills to help you succeed!

Physics is my passion. Many people think that physics is impossibly hard, to me, physics just makes sense. I get it and I love it. I also have a very strong background in mathematics which is extremely necessary to being successful in physics. Therefore, I can help not only with the physics concepts, but with the sometimes complex mathematics needed to solve the physics problems. If I could do, teach, or tutor physics every day I would.

I am also AP Physics 1 certified and am confident in my ability to help anyone understand physics on a level that is not too complex

Please contact me with any questions. I have a lot of experience in tutoring and teaching in various subjects and various age levels. I am excited to meet you and would really love to help you in your educational goals.

I promise I am outgoing and enthusiastic and will make you look forward to your tutoring sessions and leave you feeling confident.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ACT Math

I have privately tutored for the ACT many times before. I am skilled in the subjects that the ACT covers and know the test very well. When I took the ACT as a student I received a composite score of 31. During the session we do not only cover the material on the test, but we work on test taking skills, which is a major factor in the success rate of students taking the test.

ACT Science

I have privately tutored for the ACT many times before. I am skilled in the subjects that the ACT covers and know the test very well. When I took the ACT as a student I received a composite score of 31, with a score of 34 in Science. During the session we do not only cover the material on the test, but we work on test taking skills, which is a major factor in the success rate of students taking the test.

Algebra 1

Four years math tutoring experience from middle school to college math courses. High school math teacher.

Algebra 2

I have a Bachelors degree in Mathematics. I have been tutoring various levels of math, ranging from middle school to college, for the last 4 years. I have also taught Math in a classroom before.

Astronomy

I have a Bachelors of Science in Physics and Astronomy. I have tutored for the physics and astronomy department at my college and taught a high school Physics and Astronomy Honors course. My passion for astronomy shows through in my tutoring sessions.

Calculus

I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics. I was also a previous math teacher and have been tutoring math and physics since 2011.

Geology

With my Bachelors degree in Astrophysics there were many Geology course requirements. I highly enjoyed the subject, so I took more courses than required. I tutored college students in a college level geology course and taught some geology in an Earth and Environmental Science class I had when I was teaching.

Geometry

I have privately tutored multiple geometry lessons before. I taught 3 Math II courses (Common Core) which are highly concentrated in geometry standards.

Physical Science

I was a Physical Science teacher in High School. I also have a Bachelors degree in Physics and Astronomy which covers all of the topics taught in Physical Science.

Physics

I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Physics and Astronomy. I have tutored for my college's physics department and have tutored multiple students in physics courses, both college and high school level. I was a Physics and Physical Science teacher where my students made the highest grades in the school and 2nd highest in the county.

Prealgebra

I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. I have been tutoring various levels of math, ranging from middle school to college, for the last 4 years. I was also a math teacher at the high school level, where I taught Math II which covers through Algebra 1, therefore reviewing all topics in Prealgebra.

Precalculus

I have a Bachelors degree in Mathematics. I have been tutoring various levels of math, ranging from middle school to college, for the last 4 years, including many sessions in Precalculus.

SAT Math

I have privately tutored for the SAT many times before. I am skilled in the subjects that the SAT covers and know the test well. During SAT prep sessions we do not only cover the material on the test, but we work on test taking skills, which is a major factor in the success rate of students taking the test when integrated with material mastery.

Very competent, patient, and very prepared.

Brianne has been a great fit for my son (now a senior in high school). As a teenager who already succeeds in most that he does, she is very good at realizing what he does not know; so that she doesn't waste anybody's time. He was very resistant to "help" in the beginning, but has really gotten along well with Brianne and admits she has a thing or two to teach him. He will definitely go back for
