University of Arizona (History)
Education, teaching and learning are my passions. I try to read a book a week, all genres. I love to write my own stories but am extremely proficient in writing school papers and research papers of ridiculous lengths. I am a graduate of the University of Arizona with a B.A in History.
My studies were very much focused on Europe and South Asia. My favorite: All things Europe, All ancient history, India, and anything interesting. I was a part of the Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta, and had a GPA of 3.0.
Currently, I'm working with the English Language Development program for grades K-5. I assist students in learning and understanding English, reading and writing. I am patient and caring and teach each student according to his/her individual needs.
I would love the opportunity to help students see their potential and to see that light when they understand and - hopefully - enjoy what they are doing. I am available 5pm-7pm on weekdays but I also have many free days throughout the year depending on school schedules. Please contact me if you have any questions and to set up lessons. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
