I graduated from Arapahoe High School in May of 2015. I will be attending UCCS this fall as a nursing major. I was a straight-A student and graduated high school with high honors. With that being said, I am a well rounded student and can assist in almost all subjects. My strengths are math, science and language arts. If I had a second choice of a major it would definitely be education! It was a hard choice for me to choose between that and nursing but nursing won.
Math is one of my favorite subjects. I got all A's throughout high school math and I was able to help many of my friends as well as the children I nanny. I have been a nanny for a year and a half and have assisted various elementary ages with math. Genetics is my best science subject. I find it very interesting and I think I explain it very well. I have been assisting elementary aged children with reading and vocabulary for the past year and a half as well as math and speech. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
