About Mark

I love nutrition and the science of the human body - the only thing I love more is sharing this passion with others. As a cum laude graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, I am well acquainted with the hard work and dedication success demands. I also know that learning is not always easy and that tutoring can mean the difference between passing and not. One of the greatest pleasures with which I've been blessed has been assisting other students realize their own success.

As a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic, I specialize in the science of the human body - from basic Anatomy and Physiology through biochemistry and genetics, all the way to kinesiology and exercise physiology. No matter the subject under review, I strive to help each student gain a clear grasp of the material without being overwhelmed by the depth of information.

As a professional, I hold myself to an exacting standard and expect the same of my students. I will be as flexible as possible while adhering to a strict 24-hour scheduling and cancellation policy.

In learning, as in so many areas in life, location plays a crucial role. For that reason, I require all sessions to take place at one of our local libraries, and therefore during the library's normal hours. Sessions during other times will be will be completed online.

With an associate's, a bachelor's, and a doctorate (cum laude), I am truly an expert in the human body and the sciences dedicated to the study thereof. I am uniquely qualified to tie seemingly disparate subjects together to help synthesize concrete understanding for students to take back into the classroom and succeed higher than they thought possible. In each of my subjects in school, I scored in the top portion of the class and can help others do the same.

I look forward to working with you on your journey to success.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Nutrition

I possess a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology from Mesa State College (2003) and a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic (2009). I have successfully tutored several graduate and post-graduate students in nutrition, sports nutrition, and nutrition for healing. I am fluent in current nutritional theory and am able to converse in and teach nutrition from elementary concepts through post-graduate level details. In my chiropractic practice, I have had numerous successes in treating patients with nutritional supplementation and therapy.
