About M

I have been teaching for 35 years. I began teaching in elementary school after I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder. After that, I became a teacher for Wallace Village for Children in Broomfield, Colorado working with student who had emotional and behavioral disorders. From there, I began teaching GED to inmates incarcerated in Federal Prisons throughout the United States. I stayed there for the next 20 years.

After I retired, I began teaching GED for Harrison School District 2 until the Superintendent, decided to close the program. I now teach GED classes for Colorado Springs School District 11 and I am a substitute teacher for the GED program at Pikes Peak Library District. I have some of the highest completion rates in the state of Colorado. I also teach all 4 subjects required for the GED - I do not specialize in just one subject like many teachers do today.

I have experience with the GED - and lots of it. I have great completion rates. I had one of the highest GED completion rates in the state of Colorado last year. I have experience with the new 2014 GED. Have you made an account on GED.com? That's the first step! Hope to see you soon!

The first step toward getting your GED is to make the contact-after that the rest is easy. Well, maybe not easy, but once you make the contact-at least you'll begin moving in the right direction. Let's get it done! Contact me!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

GED

I have a bachelor's degree in education, 24 semester credit hours in math, and have been teaching GED for 30 years. I teach all four subject areas of the GED: math, language arts reasoning, science and social studies.
