About Lara

Hello! I'm excited about meeting you! Together we'll turn our lessons into fun and will learn many helpful and beautiful things! In our English and language sessions we use up-to-date interactive methods and techniques and will practice various activities (games, dialogues, conversations, etc.). In learning music and playing the instruments, we work on the sense of beat, "musical literacy" (how to read and write musics), basics of solfegio and music theory, and fluent playing. We practice and switch the activities until the needed material is fully understood and ready to use. Parents are always welcome to stay with us during the sessions.

Perhaps the most beautiful thing about the teaching is sharing the knowledge with the students. Acquiring a new knowledge can be compared to making new big and small discoveries almost every day. It always has been rewarding and inspiring for me. Both sides share the joy of these discoveries. I was appreciated as an educator in my homeland country (Russia) and in the United States. I obtained my degree in Liberal Arts and Education in Ural State University (Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation). I have Colorado Professional Teacher License and the Translator/Interpreteur Certificate (English-Russian, Russian-English). I used to teach Liberal Arts in Pikes Peak Community College (Colorado Springs, CO) and since 2011 I teach language in a language center (Colorado Springs, CO). My interests include linguistics, cultures, music, liberal arts. I take the classes of Professional Development here in Colorado Springs. I love to share the knowledge of the languages and cultures with the students!
