Hello! I have several years of teaching experience, including work with elementary, high school, and college students. I have two master's degrees: one in psychology and one in special education. Hello! I have several years of teaching experience, including work with elementary, high school, and college students. I have two master's degrees: one in psychology and one in special education. I have been teaching and tutoring math (elementary math, algebra, geometry, statistics) for over nine years. I am also a registered nurse tutoring pathophysiology, pharmacology, and medical/surgical courses.

No matter the subject, I believe the most important part of teaching is helping students develop a framework for thinking and a consistent method of problem-solving. If we know the right questions to ask, we can usually find the correct answer. Having a solid approach to problem solving is also an integral part of to building confidence and developing into a life-long learner. I look forward to working with my students to ensure we share our strengths and knowledge with each other.

I currently tutor in the Castle Rock, CO, area or in the online setting. I welcome inquiries about the online tutoring process and work with parents and students of all ages to help that process work well. Since I tutor a wide variety of subjects, my rate reflects the highest of the subjects. However, prices may vary depending on the subject being tutored and the location (face-to-face versus online). Additional considerations to rate changes may include group tutoring, etc.

My passion for psychology led me to earn a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a Master's degree in biological and health psychology. I have nearly ten years of psychology research experience with a focus on addiction and behavioral learning. My academic and experiential learning in psychology supplements my training in special education and allows me to tailor my teaching to meed the needs of my students. Sarah will take the time to explain material from multiple angles, should the first one not click with you, she can phrase it in a way that it is relatable.
