American Military University - Psychology (Master's)
I am a lifelong learner, and I love to help others learn and discover more about themselves and their world. I have been unofficially tutoring others since I was chosen to help younger children learn English and learn to read while in elementary school. In my jobs I have always tutored and counseled new employees, it has been identified by many as strength of mine! I have a true passion for learning and education and I am always trying to expand my sphere of knowledge. I graduated high school two years early and with honors, and was named Who's Who Among high School Students 2003/2004. I graduated summa cum laude from college with both my undergraduate and graduate degrees, earning inductions into the Golden Key International Honour Society and Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society for the Social Sciences, and was on my school's Dean's List for almost the entirety of my attendance.
I possess a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Military History, and I also completed a master's degree in Psychology. I plan on returning to school for my PhD in Trauma Psychology in the next couple of years. I have an intense passion for history, especially classical history, as well as reading and writing. I have had several articles published in local papers. I am currently employed at a financial institution where I also must utilize math and communication skills on a daily basis, and I also instruct customers on financial matters. I look forward to working in a teaching capacity again and helping clients learn more about psychology, history, reading and writing. I also can assist in developing good study habits. I will be challenging but also fun to work with, and I will go the extra mile to ensure the subject matter is truly understood. I aim to work with elementary aged children through college students on any of these matters!
I am currently working a full time position, but I am free in the evenings after 6 pm, Saturdays after 2 and Sundays, with occasional days during the week. I will be as flexible as is possible to meet the needs of those who would like my assistance. I will travel to your household or to a neutral location such as library. I will create lesson plans tailored for the client's age, level of understanding and goals.
I look forward to helping others learn more about the world and achieve academic success, and I cannot wait to begin!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
