I focus on the learning experience by individualizing the instruction to match the student's distinct personality and learning style. My goal as a tutor is not just to improve the student's performance, but also to help build their confidence and to foster an enjoyment of the subject matter. This approach generates far-reaching benefits in the future.

I attended Columbia Business School as a Ph.D. candidate in Economics and Finance. I also earned a Masters in Financial Mathematics from Stanford University. I had been a Teaching Assistant of Capital Markets, Asset Pricing Theory, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Economics, Macroeconomics, and Microeconomics. I also earned a Masters in Applied Mathematics from Universidad de Buenos Aires, where I taught Calculus at the college level and was the Teaching Assistant of Operations Research.

I am currently a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 2 candidate. I recently passed the CFA Level 1 on my first sitting with scores above the 90 percentile on Economics, Fixed Income Investments, Portfolio Management, and Quantitative Methods. I am also earning my ASA/FSA certification in Actuarial Science granted by the Society of Actuaries.

When it comes to standardized test prep, I prepare students for their GMAT, GRE, GRE Subject Test Mathematics, SAT, SAT Math Level 1 and 2, PSAT, and ACT exams. I made it possible for my students to improve their scores very significantly; several of them had been able to achieve the maximum score. I also made it possible for several of my PSAT students to enter the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program.

Absolute Best Tutor...Period
Julia is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. She was able to clearly articulate not only how to assist with my problems, but also point out why I was making certain errors. I will absolutely be working with Julia again for all my MBA questions.

The application of these tools to problems encountered in actuarial science is emphasized. A thorough command of the supporting calculus is assumed. Additionally, knowledge of insurance and risk management is assumed. Exam FM is a three-hour examination that consists of 35 multiple-choice questions. It is offered via computer-based testing (CBT).
