I'm Christine! I graduated high school with high honors in 2019, I am currently a Junior in college studying chemical engineering. In college, I have practiced my time management and study organizational skills learned from high school tutoring which has allowed me to excel in my studies. Throughout participating in two tutoring programs and private tutoring throughout college I have started to realize my love for helping students excel further in their studies.
The first time I started tutoring was my junior year of high school where I was part of the National Honor Society and I would sign up for tutoring hours in the library and in the counseling center. I also signed up for tutoring hours in middle school, where after a couple of weeks I became a mentee at Campus middle school with the after-school program which allowed me to check on students' homework and work on difficult programs with them after school. In my senior year of high school, I became a peer ambassador which is a tutoring program in my high school that required me to attend every day for one period of my day to go to counseling and help students with homework, tutoring, exam prep, and study organization skills. My ambition to help students in their studies stemmed from my high school experiences, since then I have been a private tutor in AP Calculus AB for a high school student and worked part-time at the University Hill elementary school as a teacher assistant. I am experienced in tutoring any age group whether it is 3rd-grade math to college-level AP courses. Hope I can help your student get back on track and excel in their studies!
I am currently a Chemical Engineering student at CU Boulder, I have completed all my math required classes for my major, and what makes me a qualified math tutor is my experience in math tutoring. I have prepared math lessons for students from grades 1-6 in elementary school, this allowed me to learn a lot of the root essential learning skills persons in general have when a new topic is introduced to them.
