My background in speech pathology is a plus in understanding the development of language skills.

Very patient. Great teacher

Christine is helping my 5 year old daughter prepare and solidify her K readiness skills. She listens to my concerns as a mother and goals for my daughter. She differentiates for her based on her needs and mood of the day. She challenges my daughter in appropriate ways and provides scaffolding when needed.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Christine has been phenomenal with my daughter, who is 19 and has Down Syndrome. Christine is always on time, prepared with a lesson, provided tools to make the time fun and consistent, flexible if my daughter becomes resistant, skilled at handling any behavior issues. Christine is an experienced speech pathologist. I wish I had known her 10 years ago! I highly recommend Christine.

Effective, professional and emphatetic tutor!

What a find! We are new to Wyzant and feel like we won the lottery finding Christine! She is first of all professional, prepared and effective. She knows her "stuff" and gets right to the point. She follows through and follows up on lessons learned to ensure my son has fully understood the concepts. She is kind and emphatetic, but manages to avoid getting my son started to chit-chatter. We are thrilled with Christine and her tutoring and whole-heartedly recommend her!

Great teacher!

English was not my first language, and pronunciation has been a constant struggle for me. Christine has unique and useful methods to help me pronounce correct tones and correct them. She is very patient and gives me plenty of time to practice. She is very friendly and approachable, so there is no pressure in learning with her.

My daughter went from hating reading to reading all the time.

Our 7 year old daughter has been working with Christine for over a year. She was struggling with reading and often said, "I hate reading." Christine came to our house weekly and worked diligently to identify the problem areas. She was always on time, organized and passionate about helping our daughter. She chose activities and strategies that were creative and designed to engage her. Alexa never complained about tutoring and often asked, "Is Christine coming today?" Christine quickly built amazing rapport with Alexa, which is half the battle. She always wrote an extensive summary of the work she did with her. She kept in close contact with her teacher and shared all of the work she was doing. She is a gifted tutor and a kind and caring woman. She is passionate and committed to helping children learn to love reading.

Get results with Christine!

Christine has been tutoring our 8 year old daughter for 2 months, and we have seen a very steady improvement on her reading. Christine is patient, resourceful, and plays games to make it interesting. She is reliable, flexible and pleasant to work with. She is also very helpful in communicating with the school teacher, and she makes sure they are both on the same learning page. We look forward to more tutoring.
