My name is Mona. I am an attorney, who loves to teach students new things and new ways to think and learn. I graduated from an excellent college in New York City, focusing my academics on psychology and education. I also have some experience in the theater. I graduated from law school at the top of my class. I am a published author. I've been in lots of State and Federal courtrooms and met many people. I am an artist and a writer.
My passion is having an academic conversation with one of my students and watching the look on their face when they realize something and say: "Ah hahaaa ...." That's a beautiful thing. There's no reason why you cannot understand something so long as the proper way of communicating is there for you. Together, we'll crack the case; we'll use stories, analogies, life experiences (and if we have to, memorization) to figure out everything you need to know.
I spent over 10 years drafting some of the most complex forms of writing that exists: motions. I also spent several years writing informative articles for lawyers. I taught legal writing to law students. Legal writing is a highly structured form of persuasive writing, which involves the use of a lot of research and analysis. I am also a creative writer. I write fiction and non-fiction as a hobby.
I have spent over 15 years in the study and practice of law, which is directly related to politics and government. I have read countless U.S. Supreme Court decisions. I spend my free time studying the works of political intellectuals and classic philosophers.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I was a theatre minor in college. I have taken over 40 credits in acting. I was a top-tier pick for the main stage productions at my university in New York City. I was accepted at Stella Adler School of Acting; an audition-only graduate-level school in Manhattan. At Stella Adler, I studied under Stuart Howard, a top-10 casting director in the country. Mr. Howard gave me the highest praise in the class and referred me to a top-level film casting director. I left theatre to pursue a more lucrative business career to support my family.
