I am a passionate educator who believes that every student can become enamored with science and language and strengthen his or her executive functioning and organizational skills. I enjoy the challenge that each student presents and revel in my students' accomplishments. Let me use my ten of experience as a teacher and instructional coach to make your academic, executive functioning, or organizational skills stronger!

One of my favorite chemistry jokes:
Cation: "I'm hit, I'm hit, I've lost an electron."
Anion: "Are you sure?"
Cation: "I'm positive!"

I love teaching science. Chemistry, biology, and physical science are amazing subjects that allow students to begin to understand how science contributes to their everyday life. Explaining concepts in a way that is either tangible or memorable and helping students draw connections between the concept in their book and the expansion gap in the streets or the isotopes in their smoke detectors is what I love to do. My five years of experience in the sciene classroom allows me to draw on a large library of methodologies and strategies in order to help your student master and enjoy science or language arts.

Language is amazing but can be so unfairly challenging for some! Having grown up with a sister who struggled with reading, comprehension, spelling, and writing due to dyslexia, I pursued my masters in special education. My four years of one-on-one language arts tutorials allows me to successfully improve students' abilities in these areas by grade levels. My five years as a special education teacher and special education instructional coach means that I am fully versed in different techniques (including LIPS certification) and special education law and advocacy.

I look forward to being in touch with you about how I can help your student improve their academic performance and confidence.
