I am a Colorado native with a large background of education and experience in law enforcement and corrections. I have teaching experience in a correctional setting. I have a Master's in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. I am currently a second year PhD student at Grand Canyon University. I also have a Bachelor's in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology and a minor in forensics. My Associate's degree is in Criminal Justice. I possess excellent communication skills and am dedicated to improving the well-being of others. Tutoring involves setting goals and obtaining them. When we reach our goals we improve our well-being. Tutoring will allow me to hone my teaching skills while helping students move forward towards reaching their goals. I was fortunate to have had great teachers, professors and mentors. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
