I started tutoring/volunteering when I was in high school. I felt that it was my life path to continue to work with children so I went to Colorado State University and I studied Human Development and Family studies. I continued on my career path to the University of Colorado at Denver and studied Elementary Education Curriculum and Pedagogy. After getting my teaching license I started teaching first grade in Aurora Public Schools. I taught first grade for 3 years then moved up to third grade. I really feel that teaching is the most enjoyable and rewarding career choice for me. I love helping students learn new subjects and concepts in innovative ways. Not all students learn the same way and it is my job to help those struggling learners find what they need through differentiated work. I feel that I have a real passion for helping students learn and I have the experience to do it.
