About Brett

Bio

I started tutoring when I was in high school, about 30 years ago. I studied engineering and business at an Ivy League school. I then became an attorney. I enjoy helping students learn. I periodically tutor students when I have time in a variety of subjects for which I have a strong aptitude. Mostly, I have tutored math, science and history classes.

I studied Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania in the mid 1980s, graduating in 1988. Systems Engineering is a general engineering discipline which combines the concepts of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and computer science. My education included classes in mechanical engineering, physics, material science, and product design. During college, I periodically tutored engineering courses, including several mechanical engineering courses. After completing my engineering degree, I went to law school to become a patent attorney. In my legal profession, I regularly work with inventions which relate to mechanical engineering. To complete such work requires me to remain current in my understanding of the principles and procedures relating to mechanical engineering concepts.

We are so grateful for Brett’s dedication and responsiveness. My son needed immediate help before a Physics test and Brett did not hesitate to step in and help him despite the very short notice.
