Copper Mountain College (Psychology)
I love working with students and have extensive knowledge of Math, English, Vocabulary, Reading, and Grammar from K-12th grade. I also have an extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office from my time in the Marine Corps. I graduated high school in 2007 and am currently attending Copper Mountain College to earn an Associate's degree in psychology. I like to have fun and make those I tutor have a good learning experience as I feel it will make it much easier to remember what they have learned in the future. I feel that the learning environment should be an enjoyable, otherwise it is just school. Although I like to have fun, I also know when it is time to be serious and to get work done. I am also a firm believer in rewarding good behavior.
I was utilized as a teacher's aid my senior year of high school and have since tutored my sisters-in-law as well as a few of my cousins. It is my goal to help you, or your child, excel in each of the subjects that I tutor.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Completed high school and college level algebra.
I played basketball all throughout high school and was the team captain all four years. I still play with family to this day and have coached my younger cousin to help improve his skills. I have an extensive knowledge of the rules of the game as well as strategics and plays to win games.
I was an un-licensed trainer for several individuals during my two overseas deployments. Each individual under my charge gained muscle weight and strength throughout the deployment. To this day I act as a personal trainer to my wife and friends that ask for advice.
During my time in the Marine Corps, I was in charge of organizing workouts and conducting morning physical training. Several of my Marines were able to shed some weight to help them stay within Marine Corps regulations. I am an excellent running coach and am also great at calisthenics and conducting stretch exercises.
During my time in the Marine Corps, Microsoft Outlook was the primary email medium for all professional emails. I have five years experience with Outlook and can help troubleshoot it in most cases.
I have been playing soccer since the age of eight. I played for the Morongo Basin Youth Soccer Association for five years and was picked for the all-star team four out of the five years. I was later asked to play on a club soccer team, which I did for a while, until I became interested in basketball. Soccer is still a passion of mine, and I often critique my sisters-in-law in their game-play and give them pointers to increase their skill. I am very well acquainted with the rules and regulations as well as each position and offensive and defensive formations.
I have been playing table tennis for approximately ten years now and have become quite proficient at it. I placed 3rd at an ACE Regional Student Convention and have occasionally played family members from time to time. While in Afghanistan, the position I was at had a table tennis tournament which I placed 1st in. I can coach technique as well as teach various spins to put on the ball to give an edge against any opponent.
I ran as the anchor in the 1600 meter relay throughout high school and placed in the top three at an ACE Regional Student Convention. I continued running throughout my enlistment in the Marine Corps, as it was a requirement, and have run up to 12 miles at a time. I can coach/tutor with both long distance running as well as sprinting.
