I have been a teacher for a Joint School District for 20 years now. I have taught kindergarten through fifth grade. I truly love what I do. I am well qualified and confident I can help your child succeed. I enjoy spending time with kids and believe they are our future.
I have taught beginning reading to kindergartners as well as comprehension strategies. I have taught Common Core math for two years now. I taught Common Core language arts last year also. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I also use thinking maps and graphic organizers extensively in my classroom throughout the day
