Hello everyone, my name is Danny. I have been tutoring for 10+ years. My specialty is in geometry, algebra, and calculus. I was the math tutor leader for Los Angeles Pierce College and received the slattery scholarship in mathematics. I got to present at a live state conference in San Diego Community College District about some of my responsibilities which comprised of managing group workshops, making math videos, mentoring other tutors, and showing up to class to aid the professor during group activities. I have worked almost all of the professors at pierce Collge including the chair of mathematics. I also have a strong relationship with the physic professors at valley college. After receiving my AA degree in STEM I decided to study either aerospace or electrical engineering I got accepted accepted to many schools such as Berkeley, San Louis Obispo, and UCLA. I picked UCLA because I wanted to stay close to family and continue my tutoring job. I have my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UCLA. After receiving my degree I started working in the aerospace industry. My friends and family thought it was cool but I didn’t feel like I was making an impact on my life or anyone else’s for that matter. Rather I was putting my effort towards making this company to grow. I recalled back to when I would help students out in pierce college. I felt like I was making an impact on people’s lives. That made me feel special as opposed to being another engineer at this company. So I decided to go back to school to get masters so I can become a professor and maybe teach for pierce college where I once used to be a student. In the meantime I help people in math and related courses so they can pass and move on with their lives. Life is all about communication. It’s not that you’re bad at math, someone just isn’t explaining it to you correctly. Please feel free to reach out if you or anyone else needs help in math. Thank you for your time.
