I've been a seeker of knowledge for as long as I remember. When those skills reach a high degree of expertise, I become a teacher to others who share my interest in learning. I've taught since I was in high school then later after I finished college. In that time I've taught young and old people and have allot of patience. I have always liked to share what I know with the people around me and especially when they share a common interest. I like to know the theory and inner workings of all that I learn, and that is also something I try to teach, I'd rather teach the alphabet and how to make a sentence than teach the sentence by itself.

I started college with a major in Graphic Design, then switched to Fashion Design as a stepping stone to Costume Design which I graduated with honors from FIDM Los Angeles. During this time I had been very interested in 3D modeling and printing and have used Rhino, Maya, Cinema 4D, and finally landed at my preferred program, SolidWorks. It's now been over 5 years and I've used all these skills together at points. Fashion design for clothing, graphic design for logos, 3D modeling for 3D printing costume pieces. I'm also a lover of photography, both on the ground and by drone. I like technology and have built many purpose built computers for friends, clients, family, and myself. Each area of my expertise has been done in a professional capacity.

The skills I can teach as of now on my ever growing list of things to learn are;
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Lightroom
Graphic Design
SolidWorks
3D Printing
Sewing
Fashion Design
Costume Design
Photography

If you have a project, problem, or question that needs solving, I'll try to give you a clear direct answer or find a way to get you the end result your looking for.

Adobe Illustrator,

Adobe Illustrator

Illustrator is my favorite and most used program in my Graphic design tool kit. I've used it to design web sites, product packaging, vinyl decals, and even vectors for laser cutting and 3D printing. If there's something to design I'll always look to Illustrator first
Graphic Design,

Graphic Design

I use graphic design to work solo or with a team/client to bring their ideas to life. I have worked on many different areas of graphic design to create product packaging, branding, files to be printed or CNC'd, used as stickers or shirt designs to name a few. I also have a great deal of experience in document restoration, alteration, and correcting. I started college with a major in Graphic Design, then switched to Fashion Design as a stepping stone to Costume Design which I graduated with honors from FIDM Los Angeles.
Photography,

Photography

I have an understanding of the underlying fundamentals of photography such as how a cameras lens and aperture alter light to create a desired effect. I have knowledge of how flash and lighting effect a subject and how to control it. I like to test the limits of what I know through art and experimentation.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Learning how to make patterns. I’m always on the struggle bus, but Ethan was very patient, helpful, and funny. It was lots of work but also lots of fun. Easy guy to spend three hours sewing with! I’m excited to continue working with him.

Ethan was a very patient teacher and very knowlegable.

We made some amazing potato chips! Compound surfaces galore! We converted cut lines from an assembly to the part. It worked perfectly. This is something I was struggling with for weeks.

Great Tutor Knows What Hes Doing

I was intrested in learning to make a pant pattern, and sewing it together. I thought it would be a 6 hour lesson that i would have to complete within a few sessions, and i was going in hoping to only 2 hours, and happily we ended up doing a 4.4 hour session and basically got it all done in under the time i expected and all in one go. The tutor also will stop and answer any questions you ha e at the moment if you missed something and is definently worth the time and money you are putting forth. Long story short he will not waste your time and/or money. Gets your job done.

Patient, capable, and prepared

Ethan was wonderful! He spent a lot of time problem solving with my daughter, came prepared with ways for her to engage with the material, and gave her some targeted assignments that she's excited about. She loved the lesson and can't wait for more!

Clear and knowledgeable

Ethan helped me with creating die cut stickers on Adobe Illustrator. He was able to quickly come up with solutions and answer all my questions. I'm a beginner with Illustrator and he was able to clearly explain the basics. Will be using him again next time I need help.
