In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have been an RN for over 13 years. I have been tutoring nursing students in pharmacology for the last 3 years. I teach all aspects of drug classifications, pharmacokinetics, side effects, and nursing considerations. I also teach drug dosage calculations including metric conversion, mass/liquid, drip/flow rate, and pediatric dosage by weight.
I am a Registered Nurse with a variety of clinical experience. I have experience as a High Risk Obstetrics Nurse both in the clinical setting and as a Case Manager. I worked at a major teaching hospital in which most patients had pregnancy complications such as preterm labor, placenta previa, multiples (twins, triplets, quads), diabetes, substance abuse/addiction, HIV. The newborns I cared for often had special needs such as prematurity, hydrocephalus, cleft lip and palate, cocaine and methadone withdrawal.
I also have personal experience as I have a child with special needs and understand the long term effects of preterm pregnancy complications.
I have been a Registered Nurse for more than 12 years. I tutor nursing students in all topics and help students prepare for the TEAS entrance exam for nursing school as well as NCLEX prep for nursing graduates.
