Hi, my name is Brittany!
I am a beginning professional tutor. I have had experience working one-on-one with special needs children, ranging from ADD or ADHD up to Dyslexia, in their classrooms during school sessions. During this experience, my focus was on math and spelling.
Aside from working with children, I am also fluent in American Sign Language. I studied for 3 years during high school, with additional learning (and occasional tutoring) while joining my mother in class at her previous college.
Children are such beautiful gifts, and giving them the help they need is an underlying passion of mine! I can not wait to meet my next student and their family!
During school, I have excelled extremely in math. My highest percentages in math ranged from 90% up to even 107%.
I have studied ASL for 3 years in high school, with additional learning from a college professor while still in high school.
I used to work with special needs children. Specifically, I had worked with Dyslexic [2nd grade] children who always needed my help with their spelling. I know how difficult it can be for some children, so I am here to help!
School is a great place to learn new things! It can also be hard to learn new things. That is why I am here to help! I want to help you succeed and feel great when you do!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
