My main focus is piano lessons, songwriting, and music production; however, here is some additional information...Thank you for your interest!
I graduated from Idaho State University with a bachelors degree in Business Administration. Since that time, I have worked in a wide variety of occupations - ranging from graphic designer to magazine publisher to accountant.
Prior to graduating from college, I lived in Japan for two years and produced a Japanese language instruction seminar and program.
I also worked as a professional musician during my later high school and early college years.
I like to teach in a "step-by-step" pattern, building from one learned skill to the next.
If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them right away.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to working with you. My main focus is piano lessons, songwriting, and music production; however, here is some additional information...Thank you for your interest!
I wanted to learn Japanese just for fun and after each session, I understand everything that I have learned. He makes everything understandable and is very patient.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been teaching piano for many years, beginning with each of my own children. I have been playing piano myself for over thirty-five years. We have a fun time, working toward playing songs that we enjoy and learning a lot of musical theory along the way.
I began playing saxophone over thirty years ago and have since expanded into playing other musical instruments.
I can teach sight reading of music as well as scales and some music theory.
Also, I have taught music lessons for several years, including my own children.
