I am a student at CSULA pursuing my B.A. in English-Creative Writing. I have an A.A. in English and a Certificate in Creative Writing/Screenwriting from Cerritos College where I graduated with a 3.3 GPA.
I am a hard-working, dedicated student who loves to read and write. I was raised on books and literature and have always found them enjoyable. I seek to pass this love of reading on to young students.
I taught a six week after-school reading program at McKibben Elementary in 2006 for my Gold Award in Girl Scouts. The kids loved reading and I coordinated activities to coincide with each book.
I was Copy Editor and Editor in Chief of my high school yearbook. I have proficient grammar and proofreading skills. I edit papers in my spare time for colleagues and friends.
I also completed AP English Language and AP English Literature in high school where I earned 4's on both exams (out of 5).
I have been working on screenplays as well as a novel. I have written a children's book in which I hope to have published in the near future.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
