I hold a doctorate from Bakke Graduate University, Seattle, Washington (1998). Before that, I earned my master's in theology at Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, Texas in Pastoral Ministries (1981) and over the past 30 years I have been a pastor for four churches. Prior to that, I received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Davis, majoring in Zoology.
2011 to 2013 - Liberty University Online, Lynchburg, Virginia. Adjunct instructor for worldview and theology classes with adult students from around the world.
2005 to 2011 - Biola University, La Mirada, California. Adjunct instructor for the BOLD Program on the Thousand Oaks and Inglewood campuses. I teach college level courses and have consistently received student evaluations that were significantly higher than average for Biola faculty.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I've recently reviewed all the ASVAB test subjects, and am very comfortable in teaching others how to understand the questions and choose the right answers so they can score high on the test.
Knowledge of Old Testament and New Testament history and the teachings of the Bible. I have a Master's degree in Bible and theology, and have taught the Bible weekly for over 30 years. I can also teach a variety of Bible study methods, and give a clear overview of biblical history, and describe why various denominations differ on certain interpretations.

A couple of years ago, I took and passed the CBEST test with high scores. This was evidence of the fact that my math and English skills are sufficient to teach others the concepts needed for receiving a passing grade on CBEST.
