CC TOOL SET : Photoshop | Lightroom | Illustrator | InDesign | After Effects | Premiere | Sketchup Pro

The Adobe Creative Cloud and mobile technologies have sparked so much of my imagination that it drives me daily to create new and fresh compositions. Whether it be for a client or for my personal portfolio, when I awake each morning I cannot wait to roll up my sleeves and get to work creating with the cloud. Now with so many wonderful tools at a finger's touch and a pen's gesture I thrive to create. To express visions and concepts. To share them on social networks and media platforms and teach those wanting to know the creative cloud and its rewards the pathway to portfolio enrichment.

MOTTO : ANCORA IMPARO.

PHILOSOPHY : Working to make the world a better place through service, sharing, social networking, positive creativity and good old fashion hard work.

My passion from an early age has been art in all its forms of content creation. Some of my most poignant memories come from musing the halls and collections of the world's museums. When I was 16 my grandmother took me to Europe to "culture" me. When we went to Leningrad Russia and the Hermitage my world view changed and I knew standing in front of the huge Titian of Bacchus and Ariadne I needed to study and learn the arts. It worked my grandmother cultured me as did the Hermitage, Louvre, Metropolitan, Galleria degli Uffizi, Bauhaus Archives Museum of Design, Egyptian Museum, etc.

In 1990 I was offered my first digital media job as an AutoCAD drafter. I was so intrigued by the system I was to be working on I decided to leave my studies at Art Center College of Design in traditional fine arts and endorse the birth of this new media platform. Yes the huge hooded "flight controller" graphics monitor and its accompanying little green "text only" terminal screen had me. Instead of vocabulary like Rubylith, Lettroset, Gauge, T-square and Mylar it became PC XT, Targa, 8MB RAM, Apple, CAD, and Digitizer.

Today I look at my dual flat screen monitors, CPU, GIGs of RAM, Wacom tablet and graphics applications and chuckle over how awesome the progression of new media has become. My passion and dedication for the mastery of the digital media since has been my life's goal. Design, from print, website, photography, film, motion graphics and 3D rendering. I have been fortunate to work in all those disciplines throughout my career.

Now being older and having accomplished many goals I had set out to do, I would like to give back some of the experience I have learned from my mentors and personal studies and help others grow and achieve their expectations and goals.

May the Arts be with you...

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Adobe InDesign

As a photographer I use Adobe InDesgin take my photography to the next level by adding graphics and typography thus better communicating the story behind the photographs. I've made several books using a combination of Lightroom, Illustrator, Photoshop and putting it all together in InDesign. Lightroom does have a nice book making module but in my opinion InDesign offers much more layout and design perks.

I'd be happy to help you in your InDesign layout and page design goals.

Adobe Lightroom

I have been using Lightroom since version 1.0 and have used it in my personal as well as professional photography workflow. I have grown with Adobe and always upgrade and stay a breast of LR tool sets as it has become one of my favorite editing and cataloging programs. I am up to speed on all the newest additions in latest release of LR5.

I have earned certificates of completion for:

Lightroom 4 Catalogs in Depth
Course duration: 02h 12m
September 08, 2012

Enhancing a Travel Photo with Photoshop and Lightroom
Course duration: 54m 49s

Adobe Photoshop

I am a Photoshop expert and it has been an integral part of my professional work flow from version 1.0 back in the early 90s.

I used it extensively in my last job working as studio manager for Michael Grecco Studios. Michael is a world renowned editorial portrait photographer who has shot many celebrity, sports and political figures and stars.

Of course, Photoshop is my ultimate retouch, color correction and finishing tool if I am doing photography. If I am doing web graphics or mocking up website interfaces, it’s tool set is the way to go. Lastly, if I want to do compositing for 3D still renderings or green screens Photoshop is the ultimate tool. And if one has a Wacom tablet, painting becomes a whole other realm to explore.

I know all the tools and even though I have been using Photoshop for many years, it still presents new challenges and tool sets.

Experimentation and plain getting in and doing is the best way to learn and master it. However, for a novice user its interface and large tool set can be daunting.

That’s where tutoring and studying are essential. I am amazed at what can be created using Photoshop and when completely satisfied with the finished piece, its powerful image export options allow the image to be exported out in the format of choice.

If you would like you can contact me for the link to my portfolio website where I showcase my skills and projects. I have been involved in the digital media design business for many years from photography, web, print, film and 3D.

It would be my pleasure to assist you in meeting your goals and teach you Photoshop and its wide tool set to create stunning graphics.

Dreamweaver

I am a web designer and Dreamweaver is one of my favorite tool sets. (As well as Adobe's new Edge suite of web design tools which are being ported to replace Dreamweaver in the near future) It has been an integral part of my professional work flow from version CS2 back in the early 2000s.

Web design is an exciting field to pursue as it is a constantly evolving and kick starting many new and upcoming technologies. The big buzz word now is responsive web design and I have been creating responsive web sites for a year now and have adopted the "MOBILE FIRST" design philosophy.

I now have added the Adobe Edge web design suite to tool set and also guide you in learning Edge Code, Edge Animate, Edge Reflow and Edge Inspect.

I created many sites in my last job working as studio manager for Michael Grecco Studios. Michael is a world renowned editorial portrait photographer who has shot many celebrity, sports and political figures and stars. I used Dreamweaver to build his portfolio and business websites. I also have used the program to craft my own portfolio websites as well as websites on a freelance basis.

I am also very familiar with creating websites in WordPress and have created my portfolio site as well as several professional sites as well. I highly recommend learning WordPress to manage and create web sites as it greatly simplifies the web design process. No need to HTML/CSS with WordPress . Once you know how the WordPress dashboard works you will be making websites to blog and show off your skills and work experience.

I know the interfaces, tool sets and am proficient in HTML/CSS.

Experimentation and plain getting in and doing is the best way to learn and master it. However, for a novice user, its interface and large tool set can be daunting.

That’s where tutoring and studying are essential. Once its interface and tools are understood, website creation and management become accessible. I am amazed at what can be created using Dreamweaver and when completely satisfied with the finished site, its powerful domain management system can publish your for the world to see.

If you would like, you can contact me for the link to my portfolio website where I showcase my skills and projects. I have been involved in the digital media design business for many years from photography, web, print, film and 3D.

It would be my pleasure to assist you in meeting your goals and teach you Dreamweaver and its web authoring tool set to create rich media websites.

Fitness

I've been studying fitness and nutrition now for 10 years but it was not til 2008 that I found the discipline and focus to make it work in my life.

In 2008 at the age of 50 and weighing in at 230 pounds with a height of 5'-8" and a waist line of 40" I took a good look at myself in the mirror and decided it was time to adopt and live by the fitness, diet and wellness principles I'd been studying. Thus began the change to my current dimensions of 165 pounds and a waste line of 32".

I absolutely do not believe there is a quick fix or crash diet that really works. What works is a consistent routine that balances strength, cardio, flexibility, coordination and endurance.

Would you like to know the secret to changing body composition and state of being to that which makes one feel awesome and boosts moral and self-esteem?

OK.

A#1 - DIET IS 80% OF SUCCESS!!!

I'd love to share my experience with you and motivate you to be the best you can be in the gym and feel on fire again.

Remember, when you prepare your meals always ask:

Where is my good fat coming from?
What is the protein source?
Am I getting my fiber?
