I am a CFA Charterholder and business consultant who teaches graduate finance part time. I have experience working with all levels of education in my area of expertise. I enjoy explaining topics to students and adults alike. My background includes direct work with real world examples of how to use finance for business owners and consumers. I have participated in the development of a business curriculum for local students participating in a national business competition.
My area of interest is the financial crisis and major causes. I read about the banking industry in my spare time and seek out new developments in the banking industry.
I have worked with statistics as an undergrad, grad, through studying for the CFA charter, and helped adults at the community college level with their coursework.
I have worked in the finance industry for several years lending to business owners and have developed a good sense of comfort with debt finance.
Please feel free to contact me with your tutoring needs. If the work is outside my scope of expertise I will let you know. Your success is important and I only want to participate if I can add value. Giancarl gave me good tips in presenting data to my target audience. I like the way he asks questions and does not take things for granted. He is an expert in financial data analysis, an area different than the scientific data that I work with, but yet he has basic universal knowledge on stats and how to present info to lay people. I will be changing my graphs so that they are more simple and easier to understand.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
